If a lion hunts a village and people no longer go out at night, it’s not the villagers’ fault for being the way they are and living the way they do. Either the lion must learn not to prowl the village, or the folk must get pitchforks and torches. You don’t go around telling the villagers, “you looked too delicious for the lion.” It just makes no sense.
